Emma and Joe travelled from Australia to the Isle of Skye just after Christmas 2016. They came with their close family to celebrate Joe’s grandfather’s 90th birthday. A photo shoot was proposed and the couple, who had sadly been disappointed by their original wedding photos 5 years before, quickly got in touch to arrange a family/vow renewal/birthday/wedding photo shoot. So it came to pass that 2 days after Christmas a relaxed group of us met at the Fairy Pools to walk off Christmas dinners aplenty. We had an absolute riot with the family shots and then while the extended family headed off to cosy up in a nearby pub, Emma, Joe and I explored the Fairy Pools in near isolation. What a wonderful day! We met up with family again at Sligachan just as the winter sun was setting behind the snow covered Cuillin peaks.
